As author and performer of HEMINGWAY ON STAGE, a five part series of plays depicting the life of Ernest Hemingway, I am pleased to visit the Hemingway Festival in Key West, Florida every July. I truly enjoy meeting all those Canadians who see and support my performances. In fact, if you are ever in Key West when I perform, I guarantee you free admission. For further information see:

I was born in Winnipeg, but moved away when I was very young. I guess you could say that growing up in the U.S. I always felt like I was "faking" my Canadian identity. I didn't know much about Canada, and had barely seen any of it. Last summer I decided to change all that. I recruited three of my buddies and we drove from the East Coast to the West Coast over the course of 3 months. We saw it all... St. John's, Halifax, Montreal, Winnipeg, Calgary, Yellowknife, Vancouver, and a million places in between. It was the adventure of a lifetime. Two incredible results came from this experience. First - A film is being made about our journey across Canada. It's about our adventures, the places we see, and the people we meet along the way. Info is available at www.ProjectCanada.org. The second result from our trip - I no longer feel like I'm faking it as a Canadian! I've finally seen my home country and it makes me proud to tell people where I'm TRULY from!

Hello or Aloha from Hawaii!
Never did I imagine I would find myself in a climate zone absent of snow! I moved here in January 2006, from London, Ontario. I was born and raised there, and attended University of Western Ontario for undergraduate and graduate studies. I worked there as well before moving onto the 'corporate world'. London is such a beautiful city - not quite big enough to be caught up in the hectic traffic of a metropolis, and quaint enough to hear the cardinals chirping on tree tops. I do miss my strolls through the University and shopping trips to Masonville. However, as with anything in this exciting life to really appreciate your surroundings and loved ones you must at some point explore what else is around the corner, or in my case across the Pacific Ocean.
My husband is what brought me to Hawaii. He's in Navy and this is his station for the next year and half. We've already been here a year and I can tell I'll definitely miss this place as the island life is something that makes you feel you really are a part of a special 'ohana' (family).
I'm pleased to say yes there are quite a few Canadian residing here from what I've been told. I did see lots of Canadian flags at the annual Honolulu marathon this year. I hope to return to visit family and friends in Canada sometime this year and stock up on some good ol' Timmy's, coffee crisps and maple syrup!

I was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario. I met my future wife, who is American, in September 1996 at a wedding in Toronto. One thing led to another and we got married in the US in late January 1997. I moved down to the US in March 1997 and have been living here every since.
I travel up to Ottawa at least once a year to see family and friends. Every time I go up there, the places I remember growing up as a kid in Ottawa South have changed so much. I miss smoked meat sandwiches, all dressed Lay's chips, Aero bars and real Canadian beer, not the imported stuff they have here.

It was 1998, just quit smoking, just survived the Ice Storm, when I found out they were closing my plant and moving production to Athens, Georgia! Luckily they decided to bring me too. So we moved from Montreal to Athens. Wow, can you say culture shock?
8 years later, I am remarried to my Southern Belle and life is great. We get to Montreal at least once or twice a year. My wife and step kids are addicted to poutine, smoked meat and MacKintosh toffee. I miss Montreal, just not the winters.
Would love to hear from other ex-pats in the Atlanta area, there are definitely lots of us out there.

I moved to Salt Lake City 4 years ago for the awesome outdoor access. I love the proximity to skiing and climbing. I even found a great hockey team to play on. I will always miss Canada, especially my friends and family, but I can't see leaving here anytime soon.

Good day, eh! Living in Vancouver, WA and working in Portland, OR. Moved from Kelowna area. Been here for 4 years now and loving the Northwest! Lots of hiking and outdoor stuff to get into. We lived in Charleston, SC for 2 years and loved that as well. Job transfers brought us here and there. Love the adventure of living in new places!
We're a family of four. Only 3 of us moved here. Our son, now 21, couldn't part with the Okanagan Valley, but likes to visit. Our daughter, 18, loves it here and digs Portland! Currently started her career as an artist in college. So it's just the two of most days and the dogs - new found freedom! So many things to do and see! We love hiking, traveling, kayaking, camping, fishing, gardening, pottery & woodwork. So many things so little time, but we try to enjoy the Northwest as much as we can.
What we miss the most: going for a swim in the Okanagan Lake, the hot hot summer days, Tragically Hip and many more. We don't back home as much as we used to. I work at a hospital in Vancouver and my husband works for the corporate world. Hoping some day to live in Kauai! That's our five year goal!

I am a native Montrealer and have been living in Chicagoland (via Toronto) for 20 years. I have 2 grown sons, both of whom are still very active both playing and coaching hockey. Unfortunately, they had all the hockey talent, not me. I am a member of the Canadian Club of Chicago and always enjoy meeting fellow Canadians.

I came to the US in 2003 after marrying a Soldier. I have been at Fort Riley, KS ever since. My husband has been deployed to Iraq twice and I spent a lot of time travleing back to BC and Alberta to visit my family during his absences.
I have one beautiful baby girl, born in Kansas. Currently I am going thorugh a divorce and will eventually go home to be with my family in Alberta.
In the mean time, I work as a contractor at Fort Riley. I work every day with Soldiers. I enjoyed military life and will miss it immensely, but am looking forward even more to being with my family again.

Hi, I live in Topanga, California where my father moved us to in 1977 from Vancouver. I'm a single mother of two and I often dream of moving back to Vancouver but have many ties here now. I am in school full time now to obtain a degree in psychology.
My father, John Stark, portrays Stephen Leacock, a Canadian Humorist, and he recently produced a play Off-Broadway entitled "Chekhov & Maria" which was received very well. His website is www.johnstarkproductions.com.
I am proud to be Canadian. I'm a member of Canadians Abroad here in Los Angeles and I stay connected with my friends in Vancouver and Toronto. Vancouver is a beautiful city and I miss it, but I also love living in Topanga. Come up for a hike if you're ever in the neighborhood!
