I am a proud Canadian, living in the United States since August, 2000. My American husband and I met when I worked for the Alberta Racing Corporation and he was the Executive Director of the Oregon Racing Commission. Today we live in Tucson, AZ where I own a small marketing and graphic design business and Steve teaches racing regulation & law at the University of Arizona's Race Track Industry Program. He includes Canada's constitution and regulations as part of the curriculum and I'm extremely proud that one of his students interned this summer with Horse Racing Alberta. Borders, what borders? I get homesick for friends & family in Canada and really miss the changing seasons, though much less so when it's -25 in Calgary and we're "suffering" through another warm sunny day here. Life is good!

We are Neo-Canadian after living in Montreal for over 15 years. We moved to California for job opportunities, but deep inside we feel Canadian. Our 10 year old Canadian-born son moved here 6 years ago, and at every single opportunity identifies himself as a Canadian, especially at school. He speaks basic French and during the holidays he always chooses to give his holiday message to the class in French. Every time we go to the Staples Center we wear both wear a Montreal Canadien Jersey. His favourite sport is hockey.

We have the opportunity to become US Citizens, and think twice. We do think about going back to Canada at one point. I was born in El Salvador and wish to thank all Canadians for giving me so much. I will never forget what Canada and Quebec did for us.

When I think about home, I think of Montreal. "Je me souviens."

I was born in Calgary to American parents. My parents lived in Canada for 11 years. We left when I was 6 years old and I have ALWAYS wanted to move back. I visit whenever I can. My husband is American and we are really trying to figure how we can move back to Canada soon. He is a manager for a clinical engineering company and I wonder what it would be like dealing with a completely different medical atmosphere. We are continuing to explore and learn what we can about it.

I came to the US initially to go to University in California. Upon graduation, I travelled the world and then went back to Canada. I found that Calgary was too big of a city for me. I went on a trip to Whitefish, MT and while there I looked at a restaurant that was for sale and ultimately bought it and moved. I got an E2 visa to operate it and in the first few months there, I met my future husband - an American. After we were married in '93, I applied for my green card and then eventually got my citizenship in '98.

I have been here full time since '91 and love living in this small town in the mountains. I visit Alberta periodically but my parents moved here also so I get to see them here. My brother and his family live in BC.

There are a LOT of Canadians that live in this area. It is not unusual for me to run into a former high school classmate in town on a long weekend.

I left Newfoundland for "a year or two" back in 1979, but stayed away a lot longer. I met and married an American in Alberta in 1983 and moved to the US in 1984. We've lived in Montana, Kansas, Indiana and now Wisconsin. We bought a business here so hopefully we are settled! We adopted three children all of whom loved to visit "home." I am blessed to get to go back to Newfoundland nearly every year. For the first time since moving here, I celebrated Canada Day with another Canadian. Hopefully we'll do it more.

Had anyone told me just a few years ago that I'd be living in the U.S., let alone Salt Lake City, I would have laughed hysterically. I moved from Lethbridge, Alberta in 2003, but I consider myself a British Columbian and Saskatchewanian as well, having lived in multiple cities in both those provinces as well as a long stint in Edmonton.

Salt Lake has been a "slow grow." Summers are way too hot but I enjoy the milder winters and the diverse landscapes of Utah, almost as diverse and magnificent as my home province of Alberta. The "Welcome to Utah" sign in the movie "RV" with Robin Williams didn't fool me. I recognized the scenery as good ol' Southern Alberta!

I am homesick for Canada daily and am becoming more bold about in touting the glories of Canada and being Canadian. I watch more live hockey here than I ever did in Canada. Go Utah Grizzlies! There's even a store at the arena where they play that sells Canadian chocolate bars (like my favourite, Big Turk) and other goodies.

Salut .

I was born and raised around North Bay, Ontario and couldn't wait to leave home. I truly believe the biggest export from my home area is people, but then we spend the rest of our lives trying to find a way to move home. I moved to Maryland about 10 years ago when I met my ex-husband. I live in Lutherville but own a real estate franchise office in Glen Burnie. I have 2 children of my own, Ryan (21) is serving in the U.S. Army and is now in Iraq and Liam (9) is home with me. I also have my ex-husband's daughter Kristen (26) who still lives with me too. We love Lutherville, but Ontario will always be home.

Originally from Montreal, QC my journey to the US began in August of 2002 when I met and fell in love with my future husband while visiting family in California. After 3 long and gruelling years of a long-distance relationship; I finally made it to Los Angeles in July 2005. One month later we were married and are still happily living together in Woodland Hills! I was lucky to find a job rather quickly and am currently a sales assistant for a trim designing company that works with major fashion houses!

Though I do miss my friends and family in Montreal, I'm lucky enough to travel back home once a year. I've completely adapted to LA and wouldn't think of leaving Sunny SoCal!

Originally from Brantford, Ontario, I came to California in 1984 to go to college and stay with extended family here. I am an accomplished Graphic Artist and have 3 grown children. I also raise horses, and boy, is hay expensive! My California-born husband sees how homesick I am, and after visiting the most beautiful parts of Southern Ontario, has decided that's where we are retiring!

Bass fishing in Bancroft, green fields (pastures!) in the summer, bright autumn colors and of course the snowy Christmas season are only a few attributes pulling at us to return.

My son is going up with us this fall to look at Universities, and visit my Dad, who just turned 80 and still lives alone and self-sufficient at the family lakefront cottage I remember as a child.
