After reading so many wonderful stories from Canadians who moved to Colorado, I will say I am a native Coloradoan who loves Canada. It is not that I don't love the USA, but I taught Canada for 23 years to my sixth grade classes, and now I do storytelling in the Denver metro area to schools to teach them about the USA's best friend, Canada. I tell everyone about the wonderful people and things Canada has given to the USA. If any Canadians wish to have a professional storyteller to tell stories about and by Canadians, get in touch with me in the phone book.

Sally's BBQ started in Ottawa, in 1989. In 2002 while traveling in Sedona AZ, we noticed a little food joint that was pretty neat. Dee always wanted to live in AZ so asked the owner if he wanted to sell. At the time he said not now, but if I do, I will call you first. Six months later he called and we made a deal. Sally's BBQ now has 2 locations, in Sedona and Cottonwood, AZ. Love it here but miss Ottawa and Canada in the summer months. Always a Canadian first. If you come up let us know you are from Canada and get the family discount. See you at Sally's!

When my mom (born in Ontario) left my dad in 1964, she packed up the old Ford with my sis, myself, dog and 2 cats and drove from NS to Calif. where a long ago relative had lived for awhile and had shared stories of. I was five, and except for two years in Toronto when my grandma was ill, have been here ever since. Two summers ago my grown daughter (she used to say she was half Canadian) and I flew into Toronto (so she could see where I had lived and where her grandma was born) drove across to NS to see my dad whom I hadn't seen but once since 1964. This will be the third summer I go back to see him. He will be 88 this year. I'm happily married and work at Stanford Univ. as an Admin. Assoc. (you know, a paper pusher). It is so crowded here and busy, busy, busy. Nova Scotia is like a whole different world. A breath of fresh air, literally.

Allo, Allo! Hailing from Winnipeg and Vancouver, I came to Southern California in 1981, recruited with a green card during the nursing shortage. I'm an RN working for the Department of Mental Health of LA County, in a joint program with the LAPD. Mental Health Clinicians partner with LAPD Officers, responding to people in mental health crisis, as well as to major community disasters - we're the Systemwide Mental Assessment Response Team.
Thanks to Connect2Canada! I wish I'd discovered this website earlier.

Greetings! I am writing to ask for ideas. I am a professional composer based in Seattle. I am collaborating on an excellent musical comedy with Barry Healey, a brilliant writer from Toronto. We have produced much of the musical numbers and are in search of funding for a workshop performance of the piece. Would anyone have ideas about sources to fund this collaboration between an American and a Canadian?

Oh Canusa! Huh? You can take me out of Canada but you can't take the Canada out of me! I left the shores of Lake Ontario from the GTA almost 6 years ago for a great career opportunity. I grew up in Ancaster, ONT, went to the Univeristy of Waterloo and lived in Hamilton and Toronto for several years. After meeting my own Miss America in Washington, DC, we have settled on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay in Annapolis, MD. We are lucky to live so close to the Canadian Embassy. I am always looking for Canadians in the area, Ontario license plates driving on the interstate and at the airports. Yes, I am the nut waving to you! I am lucky that my business takes me back to Toronto and Montreal often so I can stock up on Tim Horton's and Swiss Chalet sauce! This summer we are having a Canadian/American Wedding at the Distillery in Toronto. We would be happy to connect with fellow Canadians in the DC area for a beer. See you on the interstate my fellow Canadians!

My husband, two children and I have been living in a Denver suburb for almost nine years. Our children are both graduating from HS this spring. We are wondering if there are other Canadian families in the area?

I moved to the U.S. in 1955 intending to just stay a short while. However, I resumed dating a young man I had met several years before, and he was in the U.S. Air Force. We were married in 1956, and will be celebrating 54 years of marriage in July of this year. We have 3 sons and 1 daughter. After my last child was in school, I went to work for the Marlborough School Department in Marlborough, Mass. My husband became a Teacher in a Vocational School in Upton, Mass. Although I became an American Citizen in 1960, I still feel like a Canadian at heart. We both retired in 1990, and moved to Fort Myers Beach, Florida.
