Des Canadiens se réunissent pour « La Soirée du hockey à Houston »
L'équipe LienCanada
La mise au jeu officielle par le consul et délégué commercial à Houston, David McGregor, la présidente de MIADC-Canada, Nadine Eidman, et le maire intérimaire Adrian Garcia.
La partie de samedi a commencé par l’interprétation de l’hymne national canadien par des jeunes du lycée privé KIPP de Houston, de même que par une mise au jeu officielle effectuée par la présidente de MIADC-Canada Nadine Aboud Eidman, le maire intérimaire Adrian Garcia et le consul et délégué commercial du Canada David McGregor. Avec les Canadiens éparpillés dans la foule, l’assistance était totalement captivée par la partie. Les Aeros ont remporté une autre victoire contre les Moose (4-1). Tous ceux qui ont assisté à la partie ont eu un plaisir fou!

Depuis sa création, en 2000, l'Alliance stratégique de Toronto a démontré son efficacité dans la lutte au télémarketing trompeur et à d'autres arnaques qui ne connaissent pas de frontière. L'Alliance stratégique de Toronto a diffusé un rapport intitulé Accomplishments of the Toronto Strategic Partnership (Réalisations de l'Alliance stratégique de Toronto), qui dresse un bilan de ses réalisations.

Premier règlement au Canada sur la consommation de carburant des véhicules motorisés : début des consulations

L'honorable Lawrence Cannon, ministre des Transports, de l'Infrastructure et des Collectivités, a annoncé aujourd'hui qu'il respectait l'engagement du gouvernement du Canada de mettre en œuvre un règlement sur la consommation de carburant. Pour la première fois, le Canada réglementera la consommation de carburant des voitures et des camionnettes neuves, à compter de l'année modèle 2011. Des consultations seront menées auprès de l'industrie automobile, des groupes environnementaux et d'autres intervenants dans le cadre de l'engagement du gouvernement à mettre en œuvre un règlement national sur la consommation de carburant des véhicules motorisés.

The Ottawa Senators will dedicate a game to the Canadian Forces for the fourth straight season. This year's Canadian Forces Appreciation Night will happen Thursday at Scotiabank Place when the Senators face the Carolina Hurricanes. Over 2,600 Canadian Forces members and their families are expected to attend, with admission provided by CF Appreciation Night's supporters and the Ottawa Senators Tickets for Troops campaign.
