Information Regarding New Passport Requirements
The Connect2Canada Team
On November 23, 2006, Connect2Canada sent a message to our community informing them that the United States had published its Final Air Rule on New Entry Requirements for Air Travel as part of the U.S. government's Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative when entering or transiting the United States by air. Effective January 23, 2007, everyone, including Canadians and Americans, entering or transiting the United States by air will require a passport. Canada's Disaster Assistance Response Team Action!
The Connect2Canada Team
When areas of Pakistan were devastated by an earthquake in the fall of 2005, the Canadian Forces were there to help. Canada's Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) travelled to remote locations in Pakistan in order to provide medical assistance, purify water, and alleviate the suffering of many who were affected. The Honourable Jim Flaherty, Minister of Finance, today released Advantage Canada: Building a Strong Economy for Canadians, a long-term, national economic plan designed to make Canada a true world economic leader.
