Le Festival du film de Denver rend hommage au cinéma canadien
L'équipe LienCanada
Du 10 au 19 novembre, venez voir l'hommage rendu au cinéma canadien à l'occasion du 29e Festival du film Starz de Denver. Le réalisateur Erik Canuel sera sur place pour présenter Bon Cop, Bad Cop, le film canadien qui a rapporté le plus de recettes au box-office. Vous pouvez également voir le film de Louise Archambault Familia, qui a gagné le prix du meilleur premier long métrage canadien au Festival du film de Toronto. Le NCSM Toronto accoste à Sail Baltimore
L'équipe LienCanada
Le NCSM Toronto, frégate de la Marine canadienne, qui a servi de l'océan Atlantique à la mer d'Oman, était accosté à Baltimore du 20 au 23 octobre. C'était pour le grand public une occasion unique de le visiter. Le NCSM Toronto a accueilli plus d'un millier de visiteurs durant le week-end, et il y a eu une réception à bord le vendredi soir. Le Toronto revenait d'opérations dans la mer d'Oman, dans le golfe d'Oman et dans le golfe Persique à l'appui de la lutte internationale contre le terrorisme. J'ai l'insigne honneur de vous accueillir tous ici aujourd'hui. C'est pour moi un privilège de me trouver en présence d'un si grand nombre de personnes qui ont tant apporté à notre pays. Nous sommes réunis dans le nouveau et magnifique Musée canadien de la guerre pour marquer le début de la semaine du Souvenir.

Canadian troops called in NATO air strikes in a clash in Kandahar province that killed 22 suspected Taliban militants, Afghan police said Thursday. The Canadian soldiers along with Afghan police identified a Taliban position in Zhari district late Wednesday and called in close air support. District police chief Ghulam Rasool Aga said 22 Taliban fighters died.
