Célébrations de l’Action de grâces à l’échelle des États-Unis
Les Canadiens et les amis du Canada des quatre coins des États-Unis se préparent à célébrer l’Action de grâces avec leurs parents et amis. Des groupes et des clubs d’expatriés ont organisé différentes activités, des soupers traditionnels aussi bien que des dîners à la fortune du pot et des rencontres au pub. Vous pouvez trouver une liste des activités prévues ici. Veuillez noter que les activités apparaissent en langue soumise. Si vous êtes au courant d’une activité dans votre région et que vous voudriez en informer les autres, veuillez nous envoyer un message contenant tous les renseignements pertinents. L’équipe de Lien Canada souhaite une bonne journée de l’Action de grâces à tous les membres au Canada et aux États-Unis.

Le gouvernement du Canada note que le Congrès américain a adopté le projet de loi sur les affectations de crédits liées à la sécurité intérieure (Homeland Security Appropriations Act). Cette législation prévoit une extension du délai de mise en œuvre de l'Initiative relative aux voyages dans l'hémisphère occidental (IVHO) pour les personnes qui voyagent par voies terrestre et maritime.

Oil sands developer EnCana Corp. and ConocoPhillips said on Thursday they will create an integrated, North American heavy oil business consisting of upstream and downstream assets. EnCana, Canada's biggest independent oil and gas producer, is one of numerous developers of Canada's vast oil sands resources. EnCana said the agreement with ConocoPhillips aligns about two-thirds of its oil sands projects with a major refiner.
