Astronaut Dave (Dafydd) Williams is a highly accomplished astro as well as aquanaut who holds the distinction of being the first non-American to hold a senior management position within NASA. This vantage provides Dr. Williams with a unique understanding of the Canadian and American space programs. On his second visit to outer space, this time aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour for Mission STS-118, Dr. Williams took part in three of the four spacewalks, the highest number of spacewalks performed in a single mission. Dr. Williams spent 17 hours and 47 minutes outside, a Canadian record.
