 Dr. Dafydd (Dave) Rhys Williams

Astronaut Dave (Dafydd) Williams is a highly accomplished astro as well as aquanaut who holds the distinction of being the first non-American to hold a senior management position within NASA. This vantage provides Dr. Williams with a unique understanding of the Canadian and American space programs. On his second visit to outer space, this time aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour for Mission STS-118, Dr. Williams took part in three of the four spacewalks, the highest number of spacewalks performed in a single mission. Dr. Williams spent 17 hours and 47 minutes outside, a Canadian record. Join us as he shares his insights on the wonder of space, following your dreams, the future of space exploration, the Canadian space program, and what it's like to peer out the window of the international space station, looking 400 kilometres down to the surface of the earth, with John Lennon providing the soundscape.

Visit the Canadian Space Agency website to find out more about Astronaut Dave (Dafydd) Williams and Mission STS-118.
